Request For Grant Proposals Now Open
Deadline April 10th 2026 at 12PM AK time
The Municipality of Anchorage will be funding proposals that aim to drive innovation, increase access to quality, affordable child care, and bring further investment into the child care and early education sector. Successful proposals will be creative and likely lead to increased child care and early education capacity in the Anchorage community.
Get Involved
Our goal is to shape the Anchorage Child Care and Early Education Fund to meet immediate needs of the sector while building a sustainable, long-term effective system for our families and community. Feedback from and engagement with stakeholders – including providers, parents, businesses, and others – is essential to doing this effectively. Early on, we hosted a number of events to engage stakeholders, including individual meetings, presentations, listening sessions, and participation in larger conversations with others also working to solve our community’s child care and early education challenges. And now that the ACCEE Fund Board is seated, we offer an opportunity at each of our meetings to hear from the public. Please see below for a list of upcoming and past events and meetings.

Past Meetings and Events
In April of 2023, Anchorage residents voted and passed Proposition 14 - Anchorage’s Child Care and Early Education Fund. The funds began accumulating in January of 2024, with an estimated five million dollars available annually.
To ensure these funds are used effectively, a private/public partnership between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Alaska Children’s Trust was formed to establish an Implementation Team. The Implementation Team was responsible for detailing how best to use these funds immediately as well as how to build a sustainable system for our families. The Implementation Team also brought forward an ordinance to the Anchorage Assembly that laid out the process for the ACCEE Fund Board, which now provides oversight and advice for the Fund.
